The Schnoodle mixes the intellect of the Poodle with the companionship and devotion of the Schnauzer. Schnoodles are very astute. If treated kindly in puppy hood, Schnoodles will make loving companions. They may, for example, react very strongly when the owner simply glances to the floor for his or her shoes, or the sound of the clanking of car keys; the dog knows that this can be a precursor to the owner leaving the home on some errand. This intelligence (which can range from introspective and analytical, to raw and instinctual depending on the specific dog), coupled with the terrier desire to please the owner, makes most Schnoodles highly trainable dog.
The vocabulary of a Schnoodle is quite impressive, considering they are able to pick up phrases, such as go get your toy with ease. The high intelligence of the Schnauzer, can also assist in participating in dog sports such as agility and obedience. While mischievous, Schnoodles are fun-loving, energetic dogs. When the Schnauzer is the dominate breed,the fur will have less of the curl from the poodle fur. The beard will also be more noticeable. Schnoodles excel in therapy work, obedience, agility, flyball, and most other dog activities.
Schnoodles' are even-tempered and very social when introduced to a variety of social situations early in life. They will bark to alert his owner of a stranger but are not nuisance barkers.

The Schnoodle called Charlie
Mileen united my wife and me with the love of our life, our Schnoodle, Charlie. It was more than obvious that Charlie received the care and attention that is so crucial in the early weeks of his life. Mileen mothers the puppies. She understands and respects dogs.
